2. I feel like the mood is finally looking pretty successful.
1. One thing I changed based on feedback was the amount of lines I had. I added more so there would be a little more white on the final piece and wouldn't be so dark and black.

1. I feel like everything is going well except for some of the lines I carved into it.
2. I've only ran into one problem and that was the lines. I added some more to make it look better, 3. I have had to make changes to my original plan because I didn't feel like everything was working the way they should. 1. I've used principles and elements to create a mood for this piece by using different lines and textures and by making it a darker, creepy kind of piece.
2. My use of media, techniques, or the elements and principles add meaning because if I wasn't able to use the media and I didn't know what elements and principles were, I wouldn't be able to do art and add emotion to it very well. 3. I experimented or took risks with media, techniques, and elements and principles of art by wanting to do one thing to the piece but deciding to do another, not knowing what was going to happen or how it was going to turn out. 1. One thing that really inspires me about this topic is seeing how good it looks when other people do it, so it makes me want to do it just as good, if not better.
2. I got my inspiration from seeing Mrs. Singleton do it so well. 3. My individuality, point of view, imagination and creativity are all conveyed through my artwork by the different types of lines I have carved into the picture. Also by the "tone" or darkness of the picture. 4. My interpretation of the assignment, artists, styles, and cultures shape your decision making because if I 5. My goal for this piece is to make it as good as it can get. 1. The thing that inspires me the most about this topic is that it is completely random and art work is being made out of random and funky shapes.
2. I got my inspiration from some of Elizabeth Murray's art pieces. 3. I think my individuality, point of view, imagination, and creativity are conveyed through my art by all of the different random shapes and figures I was able to come up with. 4. When I was thinking of shapes and figures to draw for this project, I thought of all of the different shapes I see in daily life while I am at school, home, or at the store. My interpretation of the assignment, artists, styles, and cultures helped me shape my decision because if I didn't know what the assignment was about, if I didn't know anything about artists, styles, or cultures, I would have had a hard time trying to figure out what kind of shapes and figures I wanted to draw. 5. My goals for this piece are to make it as good as different and creative as I can. I want it to stand out from the others, but in a good way, I want it to look like my own. I want it to look like I actually put full effort into the piece, not like I just slopped something together. 1. At this point I feel like everything is going the way I want it to in my piece. I really am liking the bright green color with this type of shape. Although, I do think there are some uneven colored spots that could be fixed. 2. I have not ran into any problems, yet. 3. I have made changes to my original plan because I thoguth 1. I mostly used balance and contrast to help my designs look interesting. I used balance for my top left piece and my bottom piece by making them somewhat the same shape throughout each separate piece. . I used contrast on my top right piece by using green as an overall color and purple as an outline to give it some "spark."
2. By being able to use the media, knowing what techniques, elements, and principles to use, I am able to learn how to add meaning and emotion to each piece I make. Whether it be using dark colors and jagged textures to make it look like a sad or angry piece, or using bright and warm colors and curvy textures to make it look colorful and happy. 3. At first, I randomly threw some stuff on the paper and hoped that would work, but then I realized that I should take each "random" piece and make them each something of their own. I thought I should try to make each one stand out from the others. Artist: Elizabeth Murray
Title: Shoestring Year: 1993 I think the mood of this is kind of sad, upset, or confused. Maybe "tangled" up in something. The way she used the colors; They are all kind of dark and neutral like, it makes it seem like it has an "angry" vibe to it. Also the way she made the edges of the piece all jagged and scuffy looking. Elements are the most basic things to see in a piece of art and Principles are ways to express value and judgment. Therefore they make it easy to express our feelings and emotions through a piece of art without actually saying any words.
I would I know elements and principles on a level of 6. I know what they are, nut I don't quit understand them. 1. The parts that I feel show my improvement the most would be the fourth picture involving shape and movement. 2. I think the part that was most difficult for me would be the third picture involving repetition and I think it was space. 3. The easiest for me was the second picture. I don't remember the elements and principles I used, but it seemed to be the easiest one. |
